The Big Idea
We Care
A lot of people are subject to domestic abuse, of one form or another. A lot. About 1 in 3 women globally and some men as well, from rich, poor, young, old, and even Christians.
We don't often talk about it. We don't like to acknowledge it. We might even make jokes about it. It may be hidden, but it is going on all around us.
We know that God cares about this. He hears the cries of those suffering. And we care because God cares.
We may not have all the answers, but we know that this behaviour is wrong, we care about those who are suffering, and we want it to stop.
Get Involved!
We need you! Thanks to those who organised bell ringing and handed out leaflets in November 2011, as part of our launch campaign - but we still need you to make a stand together with us as we encourage the silence to be broken on this issue, in the media, in our churches and in the lives of victims.
We enjoyed some good press coverage in newspapers and on the radio and we're grateful for all the media attention that this issue receives.
Look out for more developments in 2012 as we seek to take this ministry forward in our region.
This site provides: links to other support groups, for victims or those supporting victims; resources for churches; and a gathering place for those who want to stand with us.
Register Your Support
If you do organise something, or simply want to say that your church wants to stand with us on this, please use the contact form to let us know, and we can show your support on the site. It would be great to have a good show here, to demonstrate our passion and solidarity over this key issue.
If you read the church pack that Restored has produced and your church decides to adopt the charter that they recommend, we would be especially delighted to hear from you.

Diocesan Synod 2012
Rev Adrian Miller and close friend, who'd suffered 25 years of abuse in marriage, reported to the Diocesan Synod on Sat 17th March 2012 about the urgency and severity of the need to get involved with this area.
Adrian's friend spoke movingly about her experience of 25 years of living with an abuser, and Adrian called those present and those they represented, to join together in a show of solidarity. The response was hearty and very encouraging.
Successful 2011 Campaign
It's been wonderful to hear stories of how local churches have made a noise, stood up and spoken up for those who are suffering the great betrayal of having their homes, which should be places of safety, turned into places of fear.
Thanks to all those who made the 2011 launch campaign such a blessing.
Stay posted for developments through 2012.
